Apprenticeship Brickwork Diploma Level 2 Course Details There are
no formal qualifications needed to commence the Brickwork
Framework, although we prefer that you have a good standard of
education. You will be required to sit an aptitude test, for
English and Maths, to support your application, and complete
Functional Skills during the course unless exempt. To gain the
qualifications listed below, you will need to be in a placement
which involves working in a brickwork environment and assisting a
tradesman/woman in practical activities, in order to gain the

aremandatory core units: Conforming to general Health, Safety and
Welfare in the workplace. Conforming to productive working
practices in the workplace. Moving, handling and storing resources
in the workplace. Erecting masonry structures in the workplace.
Setting out masonry structures in the workplace. The following
areoptionalunits: Laying domestic drainage in the workplace.
Placing and finishing non-specialist concrete in the workplace. You
will collect evidence from work and produce a portfolio, to prove
you have the skills. Technical Certificate: The Technical
Certificate is a separate qualification, which assesses the
specialist knowledge needed within a particular job. The Diploma
Award at Level 2 must be completed as part of the Brickwork
Framework. This is a theory based qualification with an end exam,
split into 2 sections– one on core knowledge (general construction)
and one specific to Brickwork.
