This unit aims to further candidates understanding of the CAD Parametric Modelling environment, in terms of hardware, software and physical surroundings. It will explore the typical composition of a CAD Parametric Modelling system and Health and Safety matters that are associated with safe working practices. There arefourlearning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to: Apply advanced features and parts modelling. Apply advanced assembly modelling. Link with external spreadsheets to create complex table driven parts and assemblies. Apply advanced presentation graphics. Entry Requirements Level 2 Parametric Modelling using Inventor or similar, or a minimum of 3 years industrial experience using Inventor software relative engineering background. Assessment This unit will be assessed by: Two assignments covering practical skills. One GOLA on-line test covering underpinning knowledge. Learning Outcome Students will have the opportunity to sit the assessment tests for this certificate, providing they reach the required level of proficiency.
