Accounting with Computers - Sage Award Level 2 in Computerised Book-keeping International Association of Book-keepers Course Details The course uses Sage Accounts 50, the market leader in computerised accounting solutions for small and medium sized businesses. Content includes: Setting up accounting systems. Creation of customer and supplier accounts. Cash payments and receipts. Credit transactions. Discounts and the treatment of VAT. Using journal entries in the nominal ledger. Processing sales and purchase invoices. Handling wages. Correcting errors. Bank reconciliation. A Course for People employed in a book-keeping role or wishing to pursue a career in book-keeping. Entry Requirements There are no formal entry requirements; although a working knowledge of double-entry book-keeping would be an advantage. However, all students will receive a thorough grounding in basic book-keeping at the start of the course. Assessment Assessment is by means of a two hour computer-based exam, in which students are required to demonstrate their competence in using the Sage software.
