There are 12 units on this course which cover a wide variety of

you have worked in and leads to Qualified Practitioner Status.
During your time at college you will also be having experience in
four different settings amounting to 800 hours voluntary work
experience.
The Programme Content
This is an exciting, rewarding but demanding course. There is a mix of academic and work experience throughout the two years, and this will mean that all students will need to be very organised to be able to manage their workloads. However, success on the course means that you will achieve both UCAS points and Qualified Practitioner Status which will provide you with a wide range of choices for progression.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above, ideally including English, Maths and a science - there is room on this course to undertake re-sits in GCSE English and/or Maths.
Costs
You may wish to purchase a USB for saving work and an optional USB purchase which is pre-loaded with relevant information. There may be cost of travel to placement and clothes to wear at work. You will have to pay for an enhanced CRB check, please see CRB Checks information below.

Progression
Some students who have completed this course with the required UCAS points have gone on to university to study a variety of topics, including teaching, nursing and some have continued to study an Early Years Foundation Degree at Petroc.

DBS Checks
