Course duration: 3 days.

With the ever increasing pressure to change, organisations need to know how to deliver change in the most efficient and effective way. A P3O model provides a decision enabling and delivery support structure to deliver all change within an organisation, whether large or small.

The P3O guidance - aligned to Office of Government Commerce (OGC) PRINCE2, MSP, and M_o_R - brings together in one place a set of principles, processes and techniques to facilitate effective portfolio, programme and project management.

This three-day Foundation course focuses on the concepts, structures and duties of a P3O. TheFoundation exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions to be answered in 40 minutes. It is a closed-book examination on the last afternoon of the course and has a pass mark of 60%.

The P3O Qualification Scheme is developed by the APM Group Ltd in partnership with the OGC and The Stationery Office (TSO).

Is it right for me?

This course is designed for individuals newly-appointed to portfolio, programme or project office roles or those wishing to gain formal qualifications after some support office experience. (Support offices may go by many names including Portfolio Office, Centre of Excellence, Enterprise or Corporate Programme Office.) The course would be of benefit to those aspiring to a more senior role.

Pre-course Activity

This is an intensive course and delegates are recommended to complete four to six hours of pre-course reading, to include and the P3O manual. You will also have approximately 1 hour of homework per night during the course.
