Course Content

The course is undertaken on a module-by-module basis. Unit A is expected to be complete within six months. Similar timings are expected for Units B and C. The average student is expected to complete within an eighteen month time period. You will study the latest health and safety theory and practice at Level 6 standard (and beyond) including knowledge in the following areas:

  1. Managing Health and Safety (Unit A)
  2. Hazardous Agents in the Workplace (Unit B)
  3. Workplace and Work Equipment (Unit C)
  4. Assignment (Unit D)

This course aims to provide personnel from a wide range of Industries with the necessary technical, managerial, analytical and personal skills to advise, develop and operate policies and procedures within organisational structures.

Special Features

This course requires a high level of individual study and self-driven contribution because of the scope of learning that the students will be required to undertake. Students will be required to research a broad range of learning material including legislation, case law, health and safety guidelines, ACoPs and professional journals. Private directed study activities are central to the lecture material.
