How will I be assessed?You will be assessed using a variety of methods relevant to the specific modules.
Coursework 50%

You will have around 12 hours of scheduled contact time per week. This will take the form of:
- traditional lectures and seminars
- practical workshops
- external visits.
The remainder of your time will guided independent study.
Lectures will be taught across Clifton campus in:

- the George Elliot building.

About the Sports Science teamSarah Brennand is course leader for BSc Sport Science and Management. She has an MBA and specialises in finance, leadership and event management. She uses her expertise to deliver modules and lectures in the areas of entrepreneurship, event management, human resource management, finance and economics and leadership.
Chris Parker is a communications expert, who has published a range of literature which is used by students on the course. Chris manages modules in the areas of marketing, strategic analysis and implementation.
Seema Patel has completed her PhD in law. Her area of expertise lies in inclusion and exclusion in sport. She is responsible for delivering the law content on the course, in addition to a number of other management topics. Seema manages the short term work placements on the course.

You will benefit from a range of sports facilities across all three campuses, including:
- sports injury clinics
- fitness suites
- specialist equipment
- more than 40 sports clubs for you to join.
These are fully equipped with specialist facilities that:
- provide a high-quality, dynamic learning environment
- cater to different types of exercise testing.
This can be used to simulate climates from anywhere in the world! We can create specific native temperatures from Everest to Egypt. Olympic athletes have used the chamber to acclimatise to extreme competition environments.
The Performance Analysis Laboratory has isokinetic and isometric dynamometers. These are used to assess the force produced by muscle groups of the body. We also have a 3D camera motion analysis system.
The School also features IT, Sport Psychology and Management Suites. These are used for:
- match analysis
- statistical, nutritional and coaching analysis
- hosting sporting clubs and societies to get involved in.
