Discover the basics of creating women's clothing patterns. This is a practical course suitable for absolute beginners. Learn how to convert a flat piece of paper into a three dimensional garment shape, with the addition of a few well positioned lines.

Using existing standard size 10 / 12 women's wear blocks (bodice, sleeve and skirt) you will learn to understand, fit and create styling details. With this understanding you will be able to adapt these basic blocks to create different styles, using dart manipulation, design / fitting lines and seam details, and adding in fullness via gathers, tucks and pleats. No previous pattern making experience is necessary to participate on this course.
