Aimed at beginners, this short course will introduce you to an exciting range of skills and techniques used in the kiln-forming of glass.This is an ideal workshop for those wishing to master the skills necessary to produce beautiful objects in glass for their home.
The course will include:
- how to cut glass
- slumping and bending glass
- creating texture
- introducing inclusions
- applying surface decoration
- using frits and enamels.
Workshops will take the form of practical sessions supported by demonstrations, worksheets and hand-outs, guiding you through a number of projects including layered glass coasters, slumped glass dishes, fused window hangings and small decorative panels.
