Our English degree combines a diverse
curriculum with open-minded thought and a thriving arts scene. We
offer expert teaching and the transferable skills which make
English graduates so popular with employers.
As a Joint Honours English student you will establish the foundations for your studies in English at Level 1; at Levels 2 and 3 you will be able to choose from the full range of our English option modules. All our modules have been designed to expand your skills in reading, writing, debating, and developing individually researched ideas. Our dynamic curriculum includes pathways in the following traditional and innovative areas of English literary studies: Renaissance literature, Romanticism, American literature, Gender and Sexuality, Postcolonial literature, Literary theory.
This course is taught by a team of eminent researchers, critics and writers. In the latest Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 85% of NTU English research was assessed as world leading or international quality. For you this means that the course is informed by the latest thinking and you'll learn from people with a real passion for their subject.
