Joint honours students undertake 60 credits per year within the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences studying the subject specific areas of Physiology, Psycholog+y, Biomechanics, Motor Control and Learning. They also study a total of 60 credits in their joint honours subject. All students (except those on a joint honours PE course) undertake modules related to Research Skills, Project and Dissertation.
In addition it is recommended that all joint honours students undertake the Academic Skills module. Students will not be required to register for this module and will not be assessed in it, but it will help with the transition from school to university. It develops the concept, and understanding, of academic reading and writing, presentations, IT skills, academic referencing and how to avoid plagiarism. These skills will stay with you throughout your academic and future career and support your learning skills in other modules.
