This module is drawn from our suite of Real Estate masters
programmes. This module is structured to provide you with an
understanding of real estate development practice. This includes an
introduction to the development processes from inception to
disposal. The module will be based upon a development related
project that will allow simulation of the practical application of
planning and development appraisal skills.
The core aim of the module is to help you to develop key practical skills in real estate development that are relevant to a career as a specialist planning and development surveyor, or surveyor with particular development expertise.

- legal considerations including relevant legislation, due diligence and contract heads of terms
- sustainable development and designing for the market
- development appraisal

- critical analysis of key development issues and contemporary development market issues
- negotiation within the real estate development context.
