A minimum of three GCSEs grade D-G in mathematics, English and science. All candidates will be assessed on an individual basis taking account of previous experience and knowledge in the Motor vehicle industry. It is a learning programme which involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following: • Light Vehicle Construction and Routine Maintenance • Operating Principles of Light Vehicle Engines, Tyres, Brakes, Steering and Suspension Systems • Operating Principles and Maintenance of Light Vehicle Transmission Systems and Electrical and Electronic SystemsWhat option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? Satisfactory completion of this programme, additional interview and the associated Employability Skills programme will allow you to progress on Level 1 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair: Light Vehicle Route.
