Level 6 Business Studies BA (Hons)

This course seeks to develop students' existing knowledge, skills and experience and enhance their understanding of the business environment. Prior knowledge of business topics is assumed. Students may choose, to some degree, to specialise in their area of interest through research and assessments within certain modules.

This course is vocationally oriented and rooted in an awareness of the practice of business management. This is underpinned by an understanding of the central and contemporary business theories that will inform students' understanding of the business world and their role in it.

Topics studied include:

• Academic research skills
• Contemporary issues in business
• Business ethics
• Strategic business decision-making
• Dissertation
• Business in the economic environment
• International marketing

The modules listed above may be subject to change.

Students should have, or expect to achieve, ONE of the following before commencing the course:

• Foundation Degree (FdA)
• Higher National Diploma (HND)
• Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE)

Mature students with significant professional experience are welcome to apply but will be required to attend an interview.

International students require an IELTS (academic) test score of 6.0 (with no component less than 5.5).
