Description
This framework provides the vocational knowledge and skills necessary to those pursuing a career in a variety of disciplines including architecture, surveying, planning, maintenance, construction management, building services or civil engineering.
Students will have the opportunity to apply critical reasoning and analysis techniques to solve built environment and engineering problems, using industry standards, appropriate codes of practice and work-based evidence; developing personal and business skills, which will enable them to contribute to the demands of a professional environment.

Engineering or Civil Engineering.

- Sustainable construction
- Design and management principles
- Energy utilisation and efficiency
- Environmental management
- Measuring, tendering and estimating
- Site surveying
- Science and materials
- Health, safety and welfare
- Applied mathematics
- Site surveying procedures
- Civil engineering technology
- Structural analysis and design
- Heating and air conditioning
Students must be employed in the role as a construction manager plus have ONE from the following:
- Level 3 Construction and the Built Environment BTEC Diploma
- Completion of a level 3 construction qualification
- One A Level at grade C or above
- Two A Levels at E grade (UCAS tariff 80 points)
