This course has been designed with the help of employers to ensure that it meets their needs. During the course students will be expected to develop a range of skills including communication and presentation skills, which will be developed and assessed by researching and completing individual and paired presentations; analytical and problem-solving skills through case studies; and practical professional skills through work-related assessments, including conveyancing activities. All of these will be taught in the context of the legal environment to support students' academic study and preparation for employment.

Year 1
- Legal method
- Law of contract with mooting
- Skills of law, English & communication
- Foundation in criminal law
- The professional environment
Year 2
- Law of tort with problem solving
- Constitutional law
- Foundation in property law
- European legal environment
- Foundation in commercial law
Students will need between 160 and 240 UCAS points from:
- BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma
- At least two 'A' Levels at 'A2' or GCE Applied/AVCE Double Award
- Advanced Diploma
- International Baccalaureate
This will be supported by a minimum of GCSEs at grade A*-C in
Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
Applications from students with the ILEX Level 3 Diploma are
welcome.*
Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications,
including an Access to HE Diploma within a relevant subject area,
are welcome to apply.*
International students require an IELTS (academic) test score of
6.0 (with no component less than 5.5).
