Description
This course is designed for people employed in the civil engineering sector of the construction industry as technicians in design or contracting.
This course consists of the following:
- Applied mathematics
- Civil engineering technology
- Design principles and application
- Science and materials
- Structural analysis and design
- Site surveying procedures
- Engineering geology and soil mechanics
- Group project in the construction industry
Plus 2 additional units if progression to HND is required.
Students should have employment within the civil engineering sector of the construction industry and have ONE of the following:
- At least 2 'A' Levels at 'A2', one in a related subject area
