This course consists of the following:
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Confirming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationship in the workplace
- Laying sand and cement screeds to levels and/or falls in the workplace
- Laying under tile electrical heating systems and tiling surfaces in the workplace
- Preparing backgrounds ro receive wall and/or floor tiling in the workplace
- Produce internal and external sand and cement backgrounds in the workplace
- Produce tiled, mosaic and stone surface finishes in the work…

- Provide drainage for tiled surfaces in the workplace
- slinging and signalling the movement of loads (secondary role) in the workplace
All students must be employed in the industry, pass an initial assessment activity in literacy and numeracy as part of the interview and have ONE from the following:
- 4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E) including English and Maths
- Level 1 Diploma in a construction discipline, plus GCSE English and Maths (1 at grade A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E)
- Equivalent qualifications
Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the
necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
Employers must have liability insurance.
