Level 1 Spreadsheets - Excel for Beginners AIM Award (SFA)

This course consists of the following:

• Describe who and what the information is for, where it will be used (e.g. on screen or hard copy) and when it is needed
• Describe how to produce simple spreadsheet documents that are accurate and well laid out
• Describe how to analyse and interpret simple data
• Use file handling techniques for the software
• Use basic techniques to combine information
• Enter and edit spreadsheet data
• Format simple spreadsheets
• Check if figures entered in a simple spreadsheet are correct
• Use appropriate functions and formulas in simple spreadsheets
• Analyse and interpret simple data
• Present simple data

Students must be aged 19 or over as of 31 August 2012 and have ONE of the following:

• Introduction to Using Spreadsheet Software NOCN Entry 3
• Basic knowledge of computers
