Description
Students will develop a range of basic hand skills and knowledge of the plastering trade.
This course consists of the following units:
- Carry out safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Internal plastering
- Produce basic fibrous plasterwork
- Cutting of plasterboards ready to fix
- Preparation of backgrounds
- Preparation and mixing of a variety of plasters
Students must have a satisfactory interview and have ALL of the following:
- 3 GCSEs at grades A*-D or equivalent
- Successful assessment activities including literacy and numeracy
Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
