French Level 5/6

This is a high level, challenging course, designed to further develop learners' existing language skills in a relaxed environment.

The class will work on a range of social, economic, political, cultural and other general interest themes, and learners will be encouraged to influence the choice of these, and participate fully in class. All materials used will be up to date as possible, selected from periodicals, newspapers and media broadcasts.

The class will be taught by a French native speaker, and conducted exclusively in the target language. The tutor will place special importance on the following:

• Development of the learners listening and speaking skills
• Class discussion
• Study of advanced grammar structures
• Vocabulary building
• Cultural awareness
  

Students must have ONE of the following:

• A Pass at A Level French
• An equivalent level gained in some other way (e.g. residence in a french-speaking country)
