This course consists of the following:
- Blood spatter analysis - a short lecture, practical demonstration and student participation of blood spatter analysis from crime scenes
- Firearms and explosives - a short lecture and safe practical demonstration of types of firearms, explosives and bombs
- Fingerprinting and identification - a short student-based demonstration of taking fingerprints from suspects, lifting techniques and how to identify and group the results
- Crime scene investigation - a short lecture of crime scene investigation, the work of Scene of Crime Officers and demonstration of some of the techniques used, including footprint casting and trace evidence collection
