Laser Hair Removal and Skin Rejuv.

This is an approved and accredited qualification for working as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in reducing hair growth and photo rejuvenation of the skin. It also provides a sound platform for further learning or training.

In this industry recognised qualification you will develop an understanding of managing safe working practices and how to identify and control hazards. You will also learn how to identify hair and skin conditions and those clients suitable for intense light and laser system treatments.

This qualification is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

COURSE CONTENT:Anatomy of skin and hair, health and safety, laser cleaning and maintenance, sales and marketing of laser treatments, client consultation, Fitzpatrick skin typing, contra-indications, patch testing practice

Hair removal practical workshop:
- legs, back, arms, underarms, bikini line, Brazilian/Hollywood and facial areas.

Skin rejuvenation practical workshop:
- Anti-aging: working on fine lines forage reduction
- Pigmentation (age spots): working on discolouration by evening the pigmentation of the skin
- Capillary damage: reduction of superficial telangiectasia, spider naevi and Campbell De Morgan spots (blood spots)
- Improving in the appearance of the photo-aged skin (sun-damaged)

Underpinning knowledge will be delivered in 4 days, however, on this demanding course you will be required to attend the Student Salon regularly at a later date to complete all ranges required by the Awarding Body VTCT. The Student Salon has a large database of clients, but should you wish to accelerate the assessment process then two personal clients can be introduced at a 50% reduced price of their course of treatments.

We train using Lynton the top equipment which is approved and in operation within NHS. In addition students have the opportunity to practice on second IPL platform.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
• A recognised qualification in Waxing AND Facials Level 2 (full Level 2 Beauty Therapy recommended) OR:• A recognised qualification in Anatomy in Physiology Level 3 AND Facials Level 2 (full Level 2 Beauty Therapy recommended) • The minimum age for entry to this course is 18 years - no exceptions. There is no upper age limit.
• A good general education is essential for this demanding course
• An excellent level of English is required. You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently.

• Each student is provided with a locker, and will be expected to change into their uniform once they have arrived at the school. £10 refundable deposit is required for the locker key.
