Unit 304 – Knowledge of less common pathology for complementary therapies The purpose of this unit is to provide the learner with knowledge of advanced pathologies in order to practice a complementary therapy professionally and enable them to understand and describe less common pathologies

Entry Requirements

City & Guilds, Level 2, Anatomy and Physiology for Complementary Therapies. A mature approach to training and education is required as is a minimum of two references. It will also be necessary to attend a pre-enrolment interview and literacy / numeracy assessment. Please note that this qualification requires full commitment to attendance and achievement. A minimum of 3 – 4 hours per week needs to be set aside for home study if attending day courses, 6 – 8 hours per week if attending evening courses.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assessment is on-going throughout the length of the course taking the form of research tasks, reports, presentations and an online multiple choice examination. Samples of work are internally verified (IV) on a regular basis and are also externally verified (EV) by an assessor from the awarding body. Notice of external verifiers visits will be given and, if necessary, you may be required to attend a meeting with the EV which could be outside your normal college attendance hours.

Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies, Level 3 Diploma in Body Massage Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy or Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology.
