The Higher National Diploma (HND) is a popular qualification for people who want to join the hospitality industry and grow their career into a management position. Our course focuses on business and people management and is preferred by hotels, restaurants, catering companies, bars and fast food businesses seeking first line management. Some of our ex students have even started their own businesses after this course.
The HND is an internationally known qualification, a passport to hospitality jobs all over the world. You can study the course as a theory course alone (Fast Track) or with an inclusive paid work placement which can give you the start to your career in the hospitality business in a UK hotel.
LHS HND courses are very interactive and our location in central London allows us to visit many hotels and have guest lecturers from industry meet with our students. Our courses are designed to develop your interpersonal skills and are assessed by assignments which you produce online. LHS is a wireless internet college.
The course is arranged into Quarters and students can start at the beginning of any quarter but not during the quarter. Quarters 1 and 2 are the lower level subjects and studying these can lead to a Higher National Certificate qualification (awarded by Edexcel)
At the end of Q1 &2 students can choose to complete a paid work placement (up to 8 months for non EU students) or go straight to Quarters 3 &4. If they choose to complete the HND in theory only their course will last 16 months or with a work placement 24 months.
