Following the introduction of the new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in the UK, ABE has taken the opportunity to thoroughly revise its suite of qualifications in order to provide the most relevant and focused learning experience for students.
The Business Management programme now has specialist pathways built within it. Students can choose to study one of the following three pathways:
- Business Management.
- Business Management – Financial Management Pathway.
- Business Management – Management of Information Systems Pathway.

Graduate Integrated Diploma Level 6
Following the introduction of the new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in the UK, ABE has taken the opportunity to thoroughly revise its suite of qualifications in order to provide the most relevant and focused learning experience for students.
The Business Management programme now has specialist pathways built within it. Students can choose to study one of the following three pathways:
- Business Management.
- Business Management – Financial Management Pathway.
- Business Management – Management of Information Systems Pathway.
Most of the syllabuses within these Pathways are common units. The specialist Pathway units have been labelled as such below. The Pathways allows students to commence from Level 4 to Level 5 to Level 6 under an integrated course.
Nine Compulsory Units:
- Quantitative Methods for Business Management
- The Business Environment
- Financial Accounting
- Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication
- Organisational Behaviour
- Human Resource Management
- Corporate Strategy and Planning
- Managing in Organisations
- International Business Case Study
Plus Two Optional Units from Group A:
- Managing the Customer Relationship (Business Management Pathway)
- Economics for Business (Business Management Pathway)
- Principles of Business Law (Business Management Pathway)
- Managerial Accounting (Business Management and Financial Management Pathways)
- Systems Management and Internal Financial Controls (Financial Management Pathway)
- Information Systems Applications for Business (Management of Information Systems Pathway)
- Information Systems Development (Management of Information Systems Pathway)
And Two Optional Units from Group B:
- Strategic Human Resource Management (Business Management Pathway)
- Strategic Marketing Management (Business Management Pathway)
- Corporate Finance (Business Management and Financial Management Pathways)
- International Business Finance and Planning (Financial Management Pathway)
- Project Management (Business Management and Management of Information Systems Pathways)
- Information Systems for Strategic Management (Management of Information Systems Pathway)
Students must pass all the relevant optional units if they wish to complete the Financial Management or Management of Information Systems Pathways.
Entry requirements for the Graduate Integrated Diploma:
Applicants must have attained one of the following qualifications:
- Two GCE A levels or any Level 3 equivalent together with four GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics
- BTEC National Diploma
- Three passes at LCCI level 3
- City & Guilds/Pitman qualifications – three passes at professional/NVQ Level 3
- An 'Access' Certificate from a UK College of Further Education
- Any NVQ qualifications at Level 3
In addition, ABE welcomes applications for student membership from intending Diploma candidates who, although not holding a formal entry qualification, have been in appropriate employment for at least 2 years. A signed reference letter from employer(s) must accompany all such applications.
