The Distance Learning Therapeutic Activities course will help you to become more effective in many areas of your everyday work and will help all staff gain a better understanding of what activity provision is and how simple it can be to implement.
It has been proven that everyday activities can be therapeutic and have an impact on our mental health. The relationship between engagement in everyday activity and well being will be explored. Students will be guided through supporting the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of activities, including the skills and knowledge required to provide an inclusive and person centred service.

Course Description
The Distance Learning Therapeutic Activities course will help you to become more effective in many areas of your everyday work and will help all staff gain a better understanding of what activity provision is and how simple it can be to implement.

Students will be guided through supporting the assessment,

the skills and knowledge required to provide an inclusive and
person centred service.
This distance learning course has been written for people who are
involved in the care sector and is aimed to give all staff,
supervisors and managers the essential knowledge required so that
they can offer the very best professional approach to supporting
activity provision in the care setting.
This course is divided into five core modules, each concentrating
on an important aspect of supporting therapeutic activity provision
in a care setting.
Previous Knowledge Required
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.
You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
