Working your horse loose not only gives you a true impression of your horse's natural way of going, but it is a wonderful way of creating a real bond with your horse. Groundwork is imperative to not only establishing a basis for how your horse behaves on the ground but it underpins their behaviour under saddle.

Course Content

By doing a variety of practical exercises on the ground, you learn the techniques that enable you to place each of your horse's feet where you want it and make it easy to move them away from your space. You will also tackle a ground maze made of poles with your horse, getting them to walk through and reverse back without touching the poles.

Entry Requirements

This qualification is ideally suited for those candidates who have a genuine interest and passion in the care and welfare of horses.You must complete the first unit in Equine Behaviour (EQ076) and can then enrol on any of the other units individually.
