Forestry Intermediate Apprenticeship

Do you want to specialise in Forestry within the trees and timber industry?

Initial training at college across a range of topics is followed by extra assessment in your workplace. You will be required to produce a portfolio of work to complete the qualification. This course can also be done as part of an Apprenticeship (contact us for details).

Course Content

This Apprenticeship will give you a broad introduction to forestry. Initial training at College across a range of topics is followed by assessments in your workplace. You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence. Portfolio completion typically takes between 12-18 months depending upon your skills and experience.

• Pests and diseases
• Tree planting
• Maintenance of planted areas
• Control of unwanted plant growth
• Control of pollution
• Cross−cutting timber
• Maintaining drainage systems

Price

While you are on an Apprenticeship, your employer pays you a salary and supports you whilst you undertake your training.

The National Apprenticeship Service will pay the costs of your training depending on your age.
