Adobe Photoshop - Advanced Part 1

This fast track course is aimed at those wishing to explore some of the more advanced features and techniques available in Adobe Photoshop. The course will enable the students to develop knowledge and skills in digital image enhancement, photo retouching and image composition.

Students will recognise the full potential of Adobe Photoshop as a digital design tool – its application in web design and the computer graphics industry.

Topics covered are:

• Adjusting layers.
• Image correction techniques.
• Text masks
• Motion blur effects
• Combining filter effects.
• Saving and loading selections.
• Channels – RGB and CMYK.
• Alpha Channels
• Blending modes
• Paths.

Although this software will be taught on a PC, the sessions are also appropriate for MAC users.

College students enrolled on an Adobe course can save up to 80% off the price of software.

Entry Requirements

It is desirable that you have attended the Adobe Photoshop Stage 2 course. However, those with a sound practical knowledge of the software will be considered, by agreement with the course tutor.

Please note: The Advanced Part 1 & Advanced Part 2 courses are better suited for students using the Adobe Photoshop CS software, as the Elements version does not have all of the techniques & features available.
