TickITplus Foundation Training Course

What does this course cover?

This 2-day course is the starting level for everyone involved in TickITplus and is particularly suitable for those new to the TickITplus scheme.  It is mandatory for all entrants to the scheme, and is intended to prepare delegates for taking the TickITplus Foundation Examination by providing:

• An understanding of the TickITplus concepts and materials;
• An overview of the scheme and its operation, covering all basic concepts;
• A basic understanding of the concepts of process capability assessments and the role of Base Processes Library (BPL);
• A basic knowledge of the relevant standards;
• Assessors and Practitioners with the skills need to perform assessments at Foundation level.

The course is classroom based and will include a mixture of exercises, scenarios and case studies.

Who is this course suitable for?

Anyone who is new to, and wishes to study the learning path of TickITplus.  The foundation course is the first stepping stone.

Are there entry requirements?

There are no set pre-requisites for this course, but prior knowledge in the areas below would be an advantage:

• A good understanding of management systems development, deployment and maintenance;
• A working knowledge of TickIT;
• An understanding of IT fundamentals as described in ISO12207 and ISO/IEC15288;
• Some knowledge of process capability assessments would be an advantage.

Additional Information

• The accredited exam is included in the course price, and will be taken during the last afternoon of the course.
• Course completion and an examination pass are themselves requirements for the entry to the Foundation grade for Assessors, and Practitioners,
• Certificates of attendance are awarded to all delegates.
