Summary
The Cisco CCNA® Discovery course provides foundational networking knowledge, practical experience, opportunities for career exploration, and soft-skills development to help students prepare for entry-level careers in IT and networking. The course offers a hands-on approach to learning, and uses interactive tools and easy-to-follow labs to help students learn the general theory needed to build networks. Four modules are required to obtain the full qualification.

Discovery 1: Networking for home and small businesses
Discovery 2: Working at a small to medium business
Discovery 3: Introducing routing and switching into the
enterprise
Discovery 4: Designing and Supporting Computer Networks
How will I be assessed?
There will be four exams. This course will prepare you for these but the actual exams must be taken at a regional Microsoft Academy.
What will I need?
A memory stick to store any saved work.
What can I do next?
If you complete all modules of CCNA Exploration, then you might consider Cisco Security or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
Additional Activities
Cisco CCNA Discovery teaches general networking theory and practical skills. The course teaches networking based on application, covering networking concepts within the context of environments students may encounter in their daily lives – from small office and home office networking to more complex enterprise and theoretical networking models later in the course.
