Get some career-oriented IT-skills instruction or a quick path to an IT career with CCNA Discovery. It's primarily for students within the Cisco Networking Academy® Program who want basic networking education for entry-level careers in IT networking and CCNA certification.

Get some career-oriented IT-skills instruction or a quick path to an IT career with CCNA Discovery. It's primarily for students within the Cisco Networking Academy® Program who want basic networking education for entry-level careers in IT networking and CCNA certification.

CCNA Discovery is a blended curriculum with both online and classroom learning. It develops the skills needed to obtain entry-level networking jobs, and provides a hands-on approach to networking education that helps you to gain practical experience early in the curriculum.

You complete engaging instructional labs that help you understand the general theory needed to build networks. The curriculum encourages you to consider additional education in IT by teaching applied skills midway through the four-course series. As well as preparing you for a job as a network technician, it also helps you to develop the additional skills required for computer technicians and help desk technicians.

You also learn about the soft skills required for help desk and customer service positions. Network monitoring and basic troubleshooting skills are taught in context.

You learn by using the online Cisco Academy course materials and a series of practical, hands-on activities and lectures.

You gain new skills and increased confidence in etting up and troubleshooting computer networks.

No qualifications required, although a short interview is needed before enrolment.

You can use this qualification to progress your career and boost your employment prospects, or you can look at further training with Cisco Semester 3.
