Summary
If you are interested in pursuing a career in the Fitness industry or have a particular interest in developing your knowledge of anatomy, nutrition and physical exercise, then this is the course for you. You can then progress onto the Personal Trainer Award or University and study a Sports Science related Degree. The units you study provide much of the underpinning knowledge required for the internationally, industry recognised qualifications, such as the CYQ Fitness Instructors Award. This means you will be able to gain membership of the Register of Exercise Professionals.

Entry Requirements
- A minimum of 200 GCSE entry points or First Diploma or a relevant Level 2 Diploma, including GCSE Maths, English and a Science at Grade C
- This is a two year course
- You must be under 19 years of age on 31st August 2012
What will I be doing on the course?
This programme has been designed to help you develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required for successful employment in the health & fitness sector
In addition you will acquire a prerequisite for admittance onto undergraduate courses in sport and exercise sciences
Participating in theoretical and practical sessions in readiness for employment
You will be studying 18 units including anatomy for sport and exercise, physiology and psychology
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed continuously using a range of activities these will include, role plays, presentations, displays, discussions, written reports and case studies.

- HRC Sports Kit £90 *
- Enrichment costs £60 *
- Personal stationery, memory stick and A4 folder with dividers and clear wallets

- Seek employment in the fitness industry
