What will I be doing on the course?
- You will study a range of performance skills such as;Acting Techniques, Audition Techniques, Developing Voice, Performing Arts Business, Historical Context, and Film and TV Acting
- You will develop your techniques via skills workshops, rehearsals and full public productions
- All students will perform in at least 3 performances a year
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a mix of practical performances in class and in productions and written course work. Functional Skills tests are online.
What will I need?
A kit cost of £40 is required. This will include all the shoes you need for your studies and a uniform hooded top.
What can I do next?
You will have the technical skills and diverse performance experience for:
- Further study at an advanced level by undertaking a second year of acting training at the College/Hertford Theatre
- Continued training at an Academy or Acting/Dance School
- Employment within the performing arts sector
Additional Activities
There is a full enrichment system which includes theatre trips and master classes by industry professionals. Functional skills will also form part of your studies, giving you the opportunity to further develop your practical communication skills such as creating letter writing, CV's etc.
