Course Content

This Pre - Access course is designed to be flexible enough to suit your needs, especially if you have personal, domestic or work responsibilities which you need to fit around your studies. The course enrols twice in every academic year (in September and late January) and all classes are timetabled between the hours of 10.00am - 3.00pm, two days a week, with no classes during the school holidays. Subjects covered include:

  • Application of Number
  • Communication Skills
  • Information Technology
  • Study Skills

Assessment Method

Students are required to compile a portfolio of evidence and complete a variety of assignments.

Progression

A successful pass on this course allows students to progress to the Access to Higher Education Course, a National Diploma, or a variety of other College courses.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, applicants will require a basic level of numeracy and communication skills. All students will be interviewed prior to starting the course.
