CSKILLS Diploma Plastering Level 1

Suitable For

This course is designed as a training programme and is suitable for those preparing for work in the construction industry as a plasterer.

Course Content

The course involves both practical training and theoretical activities and covers the following core units:

• Application of plaster materials to internal backgrounds
• Building methods and construction technology
• Carry out safe working practices
• Information, quantities and communication
• Preparation of background surfaces and plaster materials
• Production of components from moulds. The programme also includes: Enrichment and Functional Skills.

Assessment Method

Synoptic practical tasks, a series of knowledge questions for each unit and a multi - choice online end test.

Progression

Successful completion of this programme will allow you to progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Plastering, or to seek a Plastering Apprenticeship.

Additional Information

Tools and materials are supplied by the College. Safety footwear is required for all workshop sessions. Study materials are required for all theory sessions. Department polo shirts are to be worn at all times.

There are no formal entry requirements but you will have to attend an interview.
