Course content
We offer a four year option, the MEng, with which you graduate at masters level. This qualification is also a professional, industry-recognised qualification recognised as meeting the academic standards for Chartered Engineer status. Industrial placement is an integrated part of MEng study, which is helpful for future career development. Enrolling on the MEng course will also mean that you can apply for four years of student loan support as an undergraduate student.

Career opportunities
There is a recognised shortage of qualified electrical/ electronic engineers in the UK. A qualification in the field will make you instantly attractive to employers as a result. You will have the skills to contribute to the design and development of electronic systems and processes. Employment opportunities exist in the aerospace industry in aircraft instrumentation systems (technician or engineer level) or in the armed forces
Accreditation
Degrees accredited by the Engineering Council through one of the UK professional engineering institutions off er you a fast-track route towards Chartered Engineer status, a world renowned qualifi cation. To become a Chartered Engineer you will need to graduate from an accredited BEng (Hons) course with further learning, or complete our MEng course, before completing the necessary engineering experience requirements.
Entry requirements and applying
The normal entry requirements are 280 UCAS tariff points from GCE A Level or equivalent (To normally include GCE A level in mathematics/physics or equivalent) with a minimum of 200 points from two GCE A-Levels or equivalent for MEng programmes.
