Course content
You will study audio science, investigate and build audio devices, learn about electronic computer aided design and electro-acoustic systems and gain practical skills in recording and live sound production. You will also cover theatre sound and radio production, computer music programming and studio planning. You will learn about the impact of new technology and hone your recording techniques. In the final stages of the course you will cover audio post-production, live system design and on-location recording.

Entry Requirements & Applying
The academic requirements for the honours degree are for at least 240 UCAS tariff points at GCE A Level or equivalent, preferably with Music Technology as a subject. Appropriate AS-Level and Level 3 Key Skills qualifications will also be taken into account. You will need to demonstrate that you have the interest and capability for developing audio projects, radio broadcasts and writing-based work. This will be assessed through an interview process or presentation of a portfolio of relevant experience.
