This intensive course and qualification is aimed at practising IT Architects, or those wishing to progress into this role.
The primary aims of this and the related certificate are to give enterprise and solution architects a broad framework that covers the range of architecture work that precedes and steers system development, and to focus attention on areas where the architect is responsible for effective design and risk management.

- Have formed a coherent picture of architects' roles in
practice
- Understand enterprise and solution architecture frameworks
- Understand the ways architects build architecture
descriptions
- Know ways to model the principal deliverables of architecture
frameworks like TOGAF & Zachman
- Take away useful distillations of architecture practices and
deliverables.
This course describes a broad framework of architecture work
that precedes then steers IT system development. It defines areas
of focus for IT Architects and aims to cover generally applicable
concepts and knowledge independent of any specific framework.

• Aligning IT to Business
• Architectural pre-cursors such as constraints and motivation
• The value and use of frameworks
• Concepts and techniques associated with the main Architecture
Domains - Business, Data, Applications, Infrastructure
• An architectural approach to handling non-function

This course prepares delegates for the BCS Intermediate Certificate
in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture, the achievement of which
demonstrates that Enterprise and Solution Architects have a
consistent and comprehensive platform of knowledge about
architecture terms and concepts.
