Overview
The FPA Hot Work Passport was introduced in response to requests from industry for a national benchmark that can be used as an indicator of the levels of knowledge and understanding of fire safety held by hot work project managers and operatives. This request was made against reports of a rising number of serious fires as a result of hot work activities. Upon attendance at this course, and successful completion of a short assessment, you will be awarded a personalised Hot Work Passport, valid for 5 years.

Who will benefit?

carry out fire risk assessments in order to complete hot work
permits on construction sites, refurbishment projects and during
maintenance work.
The Passport is an indication to employers and clients that you
have demonstrated a level of knowledge and understanding of fire
safety that will contribute to safe and effective hot work
activities on any structure, building, equipment or area where
construction, alteration or maintenance is taking place.
Learning outcomes
You will develop knowledge and understanding of:
the importance of fire prevention and your own responsibility when
performing dangerous work systematic working and fire prevention
methods underpinned by the relevant legislation and regulations
