Overview

The DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS technology is the leading technology for broadband IP access in cable networks. It is also the basis for all next generation packet-based services like VoIP, video conferencing and other high-speed multimedia services over cable networks.

The advanced course fully treats the operational issues related to the deployment of EuroDOCSIS 1.x/2.0 systems. It gives a thorough overview of all aspects related to configuration files, SNMP management including SNMPv3, filters on the system, QoS and security. An extensive discussion of the EuroDOCSIS MIBs gives the attendee insight in how to monitor and debug operational problems. Finally, the course specifies a case study on usage-based billing that covers all learned concepts.
