Visual Basic 4.0

This course introduces users to Visual Basic 4.0, progressing from basic skills to more advanced tasks and skills. Basic skills covered in this series include using properties and controls, creating procedures, functions, statements, and variables, implementing menus and dialog boxes, and drawing in Visual Basic. Intermediate-level skills examined include creating graphical programs, creating tables, interfacing with Windows and the keyboard, and accessing, reading, and writing to files. The advanced skills covered include creating arrays, using OLE, the data control, SQL, and the Spin OLE control, creating Multiple Document Interface applications, and adding custom properties to a form.

BEGINNING SKILLS

Explains the principles involved in developing robust applications. Users develop their programming skills while building a solid understanding of Visual Basic. Each program teaches a new concept in Visual Basic and shows users how to apply the concept to their programs.

ADVANCED SKILLS
