How is the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management course structured?
Unit NGC1 – Management of health and safety*
Unit FC1 – Fire safety and risk management
Unit FC2 – Practical fire risk assessment
* Those who have obtained the [NEBOSH National General Certificate], passed unit NGC1 of the [NEBOSH National General Certificate] or passed NEBOSH National Diploma Paper A1 within the last five years will only have to take and pass units FC1 and FC2. Candidates must successfully complete all three units to achieve the overall qualification.

Assessment
Each candidate will be required to carry out a practical assessment in the workplace (FC2) and to sit two exams of two hours each (NGC1 and FC1) on completion of the course. Those who have already passed NGC1 as part of the [NEBOSH National General Certificate] will not be required to resit this exam.
