Studying in Edinburgh, a city rich in culture and creative industries, you'll be ideally placed to learn about festival and event management. Edinburgh is home to world famous events such as the International and Fringe festivals and Hogmanay, which attract tourists and travellers from all over the world. You'll learn how to plan, design, market, operate and develop events, as well as how these can be used to help local economies and communities and a combination of skills focused on the theory and practical expertise required to manage and motivate staff. You'll have plenty of opportunities to gain industry experience and make contacts via an industry placement or part time work, plus you could take the opportunity to study abroad through our international exchange links. You'll develop practical event management skills, as well as a broad range of management skills that can be applied to other industries.
