Working English

Improve your English and gain a Level 1 or Level 2 qualification. If your spoken and written English is at a good level but you would like to improve further, this is the course for you

You learn the skills to pass an English qualification at the appropriate level:
• How to find important information in different types of texts.
• How to plan, draft and revise different types of writing, from flyers to written reports.
• How to present information logically and effectively.
• How to use word processing, spread sheets, databases and desktop publishing
• How to use the internet for communication and research.
• How to study on your own to maximize your learning.

You work individually, in pairs and in groups, using a variety of resources to support your progress. The programme involves IT and the internet.

You work towards a qualification in English skills at the appropriate level. A qualification in English is often essential when it comes to getting a job or taking your studies further.

All students must undertake an Initial Assessment as part of the interview procedure that determines whether they will be admitted onto the course. Students need to make a firm commitment to attend for the whole course.
