Description

The aim of the course is for the student to prove competency in the installation and maintenance of unvented hot water cylinders in accordance with UKAS and CITB requirements. Successful completion of assessments in all areas will allow you to work on and to self certify work on new unvented installations.

Area of study will include the updates of all relevant codes of practice i.e. Building Regulations IEE Regulations and Water Regulations. The course is also designed to have time to carry out revision in the installation and maintenance of unvented cylinders.

The assessment is split into three areas written exams one day and practical assessment on installation and maintenance one day. The object of the assessments is for you to prove competency in unvented hot water cylinders.

This course runs one day a week for two weeks. The first day is theory revision followed by one day of written exams and practical assessment.

You must be already be working within the Gas or Plumbing industry and hold a City and Guilds or NVQ2 or above in Heating Plumbing or Gas.

The outcome of the course is for the student to prove competency in unvented hot water systems in accordance with UKAS and CITB requirements. This will allow you to carry out work within this area.
