Description
The aim of the course is for the student to prove competency in the installation and maintenance of unvented hot water cylinders in accordance with UKAS and CITB requirements. Successful completion of assessments in all areas will allow the student to work on and to self certify work on new unvented installations
Area of study will include the updates of all relevant codes of practice i.e. Building Regulations IEE Regulations and Water Regulations. The course is also designed to have time to carry out revision in the installation and maintenance of unvented cylinders

object of the assessments is for the student to prove competency in
unvented hot water cylinders.
One day a week for two weeks. First o day theory revision followed
by one day of written exams and practical assessment.
The applicant must be working within the Gas or Plumbing industry and hold a City and Guilds or NVQ2 or above in Heating Plumbing or Gas.
The outcome of the course is for the student to prove competency in unvented hot water systems in accordance with UKAS and CITB requirements. This will allow the student to carry out work within this area.
