Stone Therapy Massage

Building on existing massage qualifications this course will enable you to perform safe effective stone therapy treatments. You will get a chance to try working with both hot and cold stones and learn the techniques of incorporating them into your massage routine.

You will cover:
- The differences between hot and cold stones
- How to set up and maintain the stone heater
- Looking after the stones
- Using the stones in your massage routine
- How to massage with the stones

Individual and group learning targets are set and you will receive feedback on your progress in meeting these targets.

All of your time at college is classroom-based in our real working salons. Learning activities include workshops theory input and practical sessions. A strong emphasis is placed on working and learning with others and you are regularly set tasks to complete in partnership with other students. You also need to be able to work independently and take responsibility for your own learning.

The qualifications awarded will be a College Certificate in Stone Therapy Massage.

You will also improve the wider skills vital for success in further study or employment including self-confidence speaking in front of others working with others taking responsibility and managing your time. By the end of the course you will have benefited from a valuable insight into future careers open to you.

A recognised Level 3 body massage qualification and anatomy and physiology.

On successful completion of the course you can progress onto further massage courses.
