Description
This photovoltaic (PV) course is for experienced PV installers who have achieved competency in a non-NOS mapped course require QCF accreditation in order to continue installing and servicing PV systems and require revision, not training.
This course covers the installation commissioning, handover, inspection and maintenance of PV systems to the new QCF framework qualification.
A training manual which accompanies the course will be sent out to you 3-4 weeks prior to attendance and you will be expected to self study in preparation for the assessments. assessment consists of an online multiple-choice exam, paper-based
exam and practical assessment in the workshop.
This PV course and certificate are recognised by all the current
Microgeneration Certification Schemes as meeting the requirement
for appropriate training in the solar thermal technology.
Successful completion of the training and assessment provides
training evidence for suitably qualified individuals to include
with their application for registration on a Microgeneration
Certification Scheme that allows self-certification, and
notification to building control departments of work completed.
You need to hold a 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
and NVQ3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures), or
an equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of
competence.
The Level 3 Award in Understanding the Fundamental Principles of
Environmental Technologies is also a prerequisite for this
course.
This course leads to a Level 3 award within the Qualifications and Credit Framework. The training has been mapped to National Occupational Standards, which means you are receiving the most beneficial and industry-relevant training possible. Upon completion of this course you can then progress to a Level 3 award in other environmental technologies.
